Will your survivor keep calm and carry on?

In the year 2010, a catastrophic bioengineering experiment took place somewhere in the world. The ill-fated project, intended to combat a global epidemic, quickly spiralled out of control, leading to a worldwide outbreak dubbed the Lazarus Pathogen.

As the infection spread like wildfire, The United Kingdom along with most of the world is transformed into haunting remnants of a bygone era. The once-vibrant cityscapes are now an apocalyptic wasteland, with crumbling buildings, abandoned vehicles, and remnants of desperate attempts to barricade against the undead leaving only a few safe places and safe harbours.

Thistledrift is one of these places on the east coast of the United Kingdom that was lucky enough to be isolated enough to give it time to adapt local environments enough to create a safe harbour for what remained of any structure of society. It is now the home port of the NATO vessel Europa, one of 2 remaining vessels that the European Union have put together to try and find a cure to rebuild as despite the fact the Lazarus Pathogen entering the world stage in the UK there is not one bit of proof it was created there and what remains of the United Kingdom Government rebut the allegations.

Mission: The Light House

The walk from the village to the shore had been a slow walk with people unaccustomed to walking after being inside the walls for 2 long but as they got up on to the cliff path it was much easier. The cliff path was wide and open they could see for miles around which was why Cassandra had chosen that route so they could see things coming towards them as much as the lighthouse would see them coming. “It’s quite a clear day.” Bartholomew said breaking the silence as he looked up from his binoculars again.

René glanced at Bartholomew.…

Soldiers were processing refugees entering the York Safe Zone. People were brought in and asked questions by some soldiers while other soldiers eyed the refugees. Each refugee was then photographed with a Polaroid camera and issued a colored stock card. The refugees were then taken to a nearby warehouse to wait until another soldier or city contanle arrived to gather up a group with similar color stock cards.

The soldier sitting across from Cassandra gave her a once over as she took her seat. He spoke in a tone that spoke of him having to repeat the same questions over…

Nathan sat on the passenger side of the box truck as the vehicle slowly rolled down the coast road. Cassandra sat between him and the driver, Gema Melero. He had a map of the region out, mostly out of habit. He was mostly relying on Cassandra for directions to Thistledrift. A place he was hoping could serve as a safe homeport for the Europa. Providing a deal could be struck with the inhabitants. "I hate to sound like an impatient child, but how much longer before we reach Thistledrift?"

Cassandra was trying to not be thrown around the truck despite…

Panicking was not an emotion she felt often but alone as she walked along the coast trying to get home but she could see figures coming towards her. She ducked behind a dune and fumbled with her bow and arrow. She was good at it thanks to a random hobby but who knew who these people were. She slowly started to work her way around to confront them and they were in her path.

It just made her more and more nervous as she stepped out into the open and saw several uniformed people coming towards her. She held up…

René rushed into the and glanced about the crowded area. He knew from experience that lunch was the busiest meal of the day. Most of the adults would be gathered there. He had been there not more than 30 minutes prior to get two to go meals for Lola and himself. It was something he had begun to do for almost a week now, taking his lunch break and bringing Lola's so she didn't have to trudge out into the cold during her radio watch.

Rene spotted Cassandra sitting alone at a table reading. He approached her and saw the…
