Will your survivor keep calm and carry on?
In the year 2010, a catastrophic bioengineering experiment took place somewhere in the world. The ill-fated project, intended to combat a global epidemic, quickly spiralled out of control, leading to a worldwide outbreak dubbed the Lazarus Pathogen.
As the infection spread like wildfire, The United Kingdom along with most of the world is transformed into haunting remnants of a bygone era. The once-vibrant cityscapes are now an apocalyptic wasteland, with crumbling buildings, abandoned vehicles, and remnants of desperate attempts to barricade against the undead leaving only a few safe places and safe harbours.
Thistledrift is one of these places on the east coast of the United Kingdom that was lucky enough to be isolated enough to give it time to adapt local environments enough to create a safe harbour for what remained of any structure of society. It is now the home port of the NATO vessel Europa, one of 2 remaining vessels that the European Union have put together to try and find a cure to rebuild as despite the fact the Lazarus Pathogen entering the world stage in the UK there is not one bit of proof it was created there and what remains of the United Kingdom Government rebut the allegations.

Mission: The Light House
Posted on Sat Jul 11th, 2026 @ 3:11pm by Lola ‘Myth’ McDowell & René Rouen
Lola slammed the door as she came in and let out a silent scream at the frustration she was feeling about Nathan and the whole sitation with Smith. She took off her boots and turned into the kitchen and smiled as the light came on but she quickly turned it off as it was daylight and not needed. It was more important to get the house warm, but she would need to check the electric radiators now that she had power to actually do it again. She looked around her cottage and noticed a note pinned to the kitchen door.…

Mission: The Light House

Rene had woken up two hours earlier to put together a special Christmas morning surprise for Lola. For one thing, today was Christmas Day, but it also marked three weeks since Juliet had deposited him on Lola's doorstep. He had grown quite fond of Lola in that time. She had given him shelter, good books to read, and most of all kindness. Lola had given him one very important thing as well. Hope he would reunite with his family in France one day.
René also wanted to make up for his awkward behavior at the pub the previous night when…

Mission: The Light House

René had moved from his place on the hearth to next to the couch after Nathan had walked through to lock doors and windows. He (Nathan) had glanced curiously at René, but otherwise remained silent. Lola had murmured something in her sleep a few minutes later while she slept, which had prompted René's move to sit on the floor in front of the couch.
René was concerned for Lola, but nobody was saying what was bothering her. He figured it had something to do with the Europa's return. That Lola's recent nightmare about this guy Smith was the issue. He…

Mission: The Light House
Posted on Sun Jul 5th, 2026 @ 8:54am by Cassandra Lennox & Lola ‘Myth’ McDowell & Maureen Lennox & Nathan Crawford
Cassandra sighed in happiness as the hot water hit her hard. She had woken up to soft snoring, but to the bedroom light being on, which meant that power had been restored to the village overnight from the Europa. She had quickly turned the light off and dived into the bathroom next to her and set about having the first hot shower in months. Cold showers boosted alertness, but they also caused a temporary increase in blood pressure, which she did not really need when she was stressed enough sometimes.
A soft knock came from the door. Nathan's voice softly…

Mission: The Light House

Cassandra shivered as she stepped back inside the house and took off her coat, taking Nathan's before he could hang it up to take it through to the kitchen to hang up. She hated how dark the house was in the winter, but it was the safest at the moment with the dark nights, even with the Europa hooked up, hopefully in the morning to bring some warmth back. It did not bring any attention to them.
"Come on, I'll make us something to warm us both up." She murmured as she led the man through the small corridor into…
