Will your survivor keep calm and carry on?
In the year 2010, a catastrophic bioengineering experiment took place somewhere in the world. The ill-fated project, intended to combat a global epidemic, quickly spiralled out of control, leading to a worldwide outbreak dubbed the Lazarus Pathogen.
As the infection spread like wildfire, The United Kingdom along with most of the world is transformed into haunting remnants of a bygone era. The once-vibrant cityscapes are now an apocalyptic wasteland, with crumbling buildings, abandoned vehicles, and remnants of desperate attempts to barricade against the undead leaving only a few safe places and safe harbours.
Thistledrift is one of these places on the east coast of the United Kingdom that was lucky enough to be isolated enough to give it time to adapt local environments enough to create a safe harbour for what remained of any structure of society. It is now the home port of the NATO vessel Europa, one of 2 remaining vessels that the European Union have put together to try and find a cure to rebuild as despite the fact the Lazarus Pathogen entering the world stage in the UK there is not one bit of proof it was created there and what remains of the United Kingdom Government rebut the allegations.

The Christmas Eve party was in full swing by the time René and Lola arrived. René spotted Juliet and Travis standing by a camera setup by the entrance. He gestured for Lola to take the lead. Social gatherings were still a relatively new situation for him. Most settlements did not take much opportunity to celebrate living in the daily struggle to survive. It was what he found special about Thistledrift. Friends, family and loved ones came together to celebrate special times.
Lola sighed as she stepped into the pub and shook off her boots and started on her scarf off.…

René quietly sat having a cup of coffee and nibbling on a biscuit as he awaited the Bible study group following Sunday Services. His thoughts weren't really on the Bible. The last few days he had been thinking about his growing feelings for Lola.
Maureen smiled at René as she tidy up the table. She was starting to think that Cassandra and Juliet had done the right thing with the man and trying to get him to stay in the community. “And how are you this morning René?” She wondered.
René smiled at Maureen and nodded in a friendly manner.…

Juliet was restocking shelves in the medical supplies closet. The Dunsbrough pharmacy had provided a plethora of much needed medical supplies and medicines. She had spent the better part of the last two days sorting all of it. She stepped out of the supply closet when the front door opened and the tinkle of the little shop bell announced the arrival of some one.
Smith walked into the pharmacy cautiously. He wasn't sure what to expect. The tickle above his head made him smile, bringing back an old memory of when the world was 'normal'. He approached the counter. "Excuse…

Cassandra sat alone in the library that she had decided was the perfect place to hide from all the Christmas cheer. She was feeling decidedly lonely and detected from it all after the last week of the Europa returning and the odds that she felt at with Nathan. She looked at the lights that flickered and got up and just turned them off, the space was nicer with candles anyway.
Nathan had looked for Cassandra at the Christmas party in the pub, but nobody had seen Cassandra for several hours. He had searched a good portion of the town until…

Rene stood out in the backyard of the cottage to Lola's front. His hand held a wooden pole approximately one meter in length. He gestured to Lola holding her dueling rapier. "First thing you should do is become familiar with the weight and balance of your épée (sword). Yours is 750 grams, so not particularly heavy, but it may feel that way after practicing for a while at first. Take the starting stance I showed you."
“You know you don’t have to show me this? Bartholomew has promised to show me how to fight with a sword too,” Fuck, Samuel,…
