The Light House

The crew of the Europa have finally reached the Yorkshire coast but the harbour entrance is too dangerous to navigate without the old lighthouse beacon. The sea is rough, fog’s rolling in, and debris drifts just below the surface.
When they try to raise someone on the radio, a woman’s voice crackles through the static:
“Don’t come closer. The light’s broken. We… we can’t fix it.”

Before the signal cuts out, the beacon flashes once, faintly and unevenly, then goes dark. The Europa contacts Thristledroft for help if they can’t get the light working again; they’ll never make it safely to shore. But the lighthouse sits alone on the cliffs, and no one knows who or what might still be inside when there were no women left there by the crew.
